The prize is awarded to the Norwegian electronics company which, either already established or in its start-up phase has, in the jury`s view, been most successful in achieving or securing a significant position for their product or product area in a global benchmark based on submitted plans and the jury`s conversations with three finalists.

Overall objective
Companies that are awarded the prize must be able to document and show that they have a unique technological advantage and have further shown that they understand what they further need in terms of skills and resources to achieve their goals. At the same time they need to be able to show a considerable value creation potential for the Norwegian electronics industry.

The application submission should include a short business plan that covers a maximum of 6 A4 pages, written in 12 point Times New Roman font, 1.5 line spacing with up to 4 pages of attachments, two of which should be financial plans for the company for the next three years.

The business plan should include a minimum of the following categories:

  1. Business idea/technology/concept
    A description
    Unique Selling Points compared to existing/alternative technologies/concepts
    Strategy for IP/patent rights
  2. Market potential and competitive information
    Existing market
    Growth factors/drivers
    Competition analysis
  3. The company`s strategy for growth
    Business model
    Sales and marketing strategy
    Growth ambitions
  4. Sourcing strategy
    Production/sourcing
    Value creation protential in Norway
